About the Attorney
Jane Smith is Of Counsel to Law Offices of Smith & Jones. She received both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Florida. She was admitted to the Florida bar in 1990. Since 2007, Florida Trend Magazine has consistently named Ms. Smith as part of the “Florida Legal Elite,” and she has also been named a Top Lawyer by the South Florida Legal Guide. Ms. Smith was honored as the 2008 Florida Bar Elder Law Section “Member of the Year.”
Ms. Smith devotes all her professional time to elder law and special needs planning, including fiduciary litigation, guardianship litigation, nursing home residents’ rights litigation, wills, trusts, estate and trust administration, advance directives, estate planning, and Medicaid and disability planning. As a former prosecutor under Janet Reno, Ms. Smith is known as a strong, effective litigator and is capable of handling estate, trust, will, and guardianship litigation with vigor.
